Kelly Drennan wants you to think more about what you’re wearing, but not the style or color. Kelly works with Fashion Takes Action to help clothing manufacturers work towards a deeper sustainability while helping consumers understand how to make better choices. Fashion Takes Action’s upcoming events are the FTA Expo for the general public on March 2nd, and the World Ethical Apparel Roundtable for representatives from the apparel industry on March 3rd and 4th in Toronto at the Evergreen Brickworks.
Our second segment, features Joanne Hutchison the president and founder of SEEDS (Socio-Economic And Environmental Development Solutions) which sends works to help replant ravaged forests in Zambia, while providing access to both economic stimulation and food crops through donating food crops with Canadian seeds. Joanne also wants you to come out to their “SKATE for SEEDS” fundraiser on Family Day Feb.17th at Evergreen Brickworks 550 Bayview Ave. 11am-4pm.
